He's Hollywood's most dazzling star, who inspires the worship of millions and the hatred of one twisted soul. His perfectly ordered existence is under siege as a series of terrifying "messages" penetrates the security of his legendary estate. All that stands between him and an insidious killer is a weary ex-cop who has already seen his own death.
This was a great one, with a classic Koontz feel in that it's not what you're expecting. The characters are amazingly well developed with great personality and interweaving storylines that cumulate into one great tale. Aelfric "Fric" Manheim, the son of The Face, is a young boy who is being threatened by forces unheard of, and the security manager of the estate, Ethan, is protected by forces even more strange. Even the minor characters in the story are absolutely crucial to development. From Hollywood glitz and glam, to voodoo practices and time loops, this one will definitely keep you glued to the pages.
